Heatpack Tips

We all love a hot heat pack and it is quite common to overheat them. Your heat pack should be heated so it's warm and not too hot. Here are some more pointers on looking after yourself and your heat-pack. 
 

How long should I heat my heat-pack for? 

Pop your heat pack in the microwave for any of the following heating times, depending on your microwave.

 

• 650w - 3 minutes

• 700w - 2.5 minutes

• 800w - 2 minutes

• 900w – 90 seconds

What else can I do to keep my heat-pack safe?

Ensure you have a clean microwave (for more reasons that food hygiene!). Food residue and oil can cause hot spots on your heat pack.

How do I clean my heat-pack?

If you get anything on your heat-pack spot clean them, with warm water on a towel. 

 

Which way should I position my heat-pack in the microwave?

Always make sure your heat pack is clear from the microwave's sides and the plate can turn easily. A stuck heat pack is a burnt heat pack. Fold it over itself at 3 times over if you can.

Can I use my heat-pack for cold relief? 

Absolutely! Simply  pop it into a ziplock bag and place it in the freezer. It also acts as an amazing product to cool you down, come Summer time.

Where should I store my heat-pack? 

After use, leave your heat-pack to cool completely and then store it in a cupboard or other dry environment, away from direct sunlight.

How long will my scented heat-pack keep its aroma?

Our heat-packs have the option to be fragranced with lavender, with more scent options to come! The aroma given off by your heat-pack will diminish over time, but as long as your heat-pack is otherwise good to use, you can revive the scent by adding a few drops of essential oil after heating.
